Landscape Arch

Landscape Arch stretching over a large expanse of vegetation and sandstone rocks along the Devils Garden Trail. Arches National Park, Utah

The Landscape Arch hike is an easy 2 mile round trip hike that brings hikers to Arches National Park’s largest natural arch. The trail begins at the Devils Garden Trailhead and can easily be extended into a longer hike, if desired. It’s easily the second-most popular trail (behind Delicate Arch) and is well maintained the whole way.

Landscape Arch Trail Description

From the trailhead, follow the main trail between two large sandstone fins. Once through, you’ll emerge in a large open flat surrounded by more sandstone fins. Pass along, then through more towering fins, rising high above you, before reaching the top of a large basin. Follow the trail as it drops down into the basin and pass the fork on the right for the Primitive Trail. Landscape Arch will already be in view. Continue along the trail and find an appropriate vantage point within the trail system. Enjoy the arch for as long as you’d like and head back the same way you came in, optionally checking out Tunnel and Pine Tree Arch before leaving.

Getting There

From the Arches National Park entrance station, follow the main road 16.5 miles and it will dead-end at the large parking area for the Devils Garden Trailhead.
