Dry Falls Trail Description

From the parking area, head down the steps to begin descending the trail. You’ll continue winding downstream along the cliffs above the Cullasaja River as you make your way downward along the easy trail. A switchback will guide you back toward the falls as beautiful vantage points begin to open up. Continue down the trail where you’ll wander behind the falls themselves under a large overhang.

When the river isn’t swollen from excess rain or snow melt, there’s little-to-no spray, giving the falls its signature name. Otherwise, if there has been some precipitation, spray will spread behind the falls and onto the trail.

From behind the falls, the trail will continue on the opposite bank of the river to another stunning vantage point. This is also the trail’s terminus. Enjoy the views, and when ready, head back out the same way you came in.
