Grosvenor Arch catching the last light of the day above the surrounding landscape. Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Utah

The trail to Grosvenor Arch in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Utah is a quick and easy 0.1 mile walk along a paved trail to the base of the massive 150 foot high double arch. With minimal elevation change, it’s a must-do for anyone in the area.

Grosvenor Arch Trail Description

As mentioned, the Grosvenor Arch Trail is quite simple, allowing everyone the opportunity to get up close to experience the immensity of the natural arch, one of Grand Staircase’s most unique features. Simply follow the paved trail to the base where curious minds can explore the sandstone buttes a little more, or simply take in the view from the end of the pavement at the arch’s base. There’s also only a slight bit of elevation gain, making it easy for everyone to access. With so much reward for so little effort, it’s easy to understand why it’s become so popular.

Getting There

From Cannonville, Utah, follow Kodachrome Road for 16.5 miles. Along the way the road will turn into Cottonwood Canyon Road. Fork left at Last Chance Creek Road and continue for 1 mile. The signed trailhead and parking area will be on your left.
